Car insurance rates vary from person to person based on vehicle make, model and year, driving record, age and a variety of other factors. Because of the inconsistency in coverage, people are often confused when it comes to actually understanding the policies most insurance companies offer. Consequently there are numerous misconceptions regarding car insurance and what commonly affects rates. Myths are frequently circulating among the general public, leaving many to feel hopeless and confused. Those who are most confused are typically people who are new drivers and are unfamiliar with the basics of insurance coverage. Some popular car insurance myths and facts are mentioned below and hopefully by debunking these common misconceptions, you can achieve a clearer understanding of what car insurance coverage is all about.

Myth: Vehicle color affects insurance costs

One of the most popular myths regarding car insurance is that color affects costs. People commonly believe that red cars or yellow cars are most expensive to insure. The truth is that, the color of your car does not matter at all. Insurance companies may take into account the car type, body, engine and model, but not the color. On the other hand, if you are speeding and driving recklessly, cops may more frequently pull you over since you are more high profile than others on the road. It is a fact, however that if you have more tickets and subsequently a worse driving record, you can expect your rates to rise.

Myth: State controlled coverage is all you need

People frequently believe that state controlled insurance is enough to cover all damages. Different schemes are needed for different purposes. Liability coverage and collision coverage are both needed for compensation from others. Comprehensive coverage should be taken for the protection of your car from riots, robbery and fire.

Myth: People only steal new cars

Most people believe that thieves steal only new cars, but the truth is, thieves are just as likely to steal old cars as well. It is not just the car that is under the radar of a thief. Body parts, machinery and sound systems are as valuable as the car itself. A comprehensive insurance plan would help to cover the damage from theft of a vehicle.

Myth: The car insurance company will compensate without any conditions

There is a false belief among people that their insurance company will compensate them without any conditions, in the event of an accident. This is sadly not the case. A lot depends on the other person’s insurance as well. The driver at fault must have a coverage policy. So it is better to have uninsured vehicle coverage.

Myth: Car insurance always covers rental car costs

A widespread myth is that the insurance company will pay for a rental car when an accident occurs. Insurance companies will pay for a rental car only if it is part of your coverage. Collision coverage and comprehensive coverage does not include the obtainment of a rental car. If this is something that is important to you, make sure you voice this to your insurance agent so that you can have this included into your premium costs.  Also look in to the popular no deposit car insurance option before you commit to an insurance policy that requires a large sum of money.

Myths like these exist everywhere. It is better to understand the falsity  of these myths before making a wise decision about your coverage needs.

Organic skin care is becoming increasingly popular as organic foods and green products have become all the rage these days. While many choose organic products for consumption, it’s easy to overlook the benefits of choosing chemical free cosmetics and skin care products. Your skin is extremely absorbent so letting it soak up unnatural and unhealthy products is not healthy for your body in the long run. If you haven’t made the switch to organic skin care yet, here are five reasons you may want to change your beauty regiment today.
1. Organic products are all natural
There are no foreign or harmful ingredients in organic products. When you review the list of ingredients on the label there should be no chemicals or harsh toxins listed or the product is not truly organic.
2. Less chance of an allergic reaction
The harsh chemicals used in regular products often lead to skin irritation. Ingredients taken directly from nature do not produce these results as frequently. If you do for some reason have a reaction, it is typically much easier to figure out the source of the irritation since there are less ingredients and not the random assortment of hard-to-pronounce names.

3. Affordable pricing
While organic products are known for being on the more expensive side, with a little research you will find that there are products out there that are just as reasonably priced as the non-organic products. There are even organic skin care products that can be made at home, like using baking soda when bathing. Other popular at-home remedies include using tomato for oily skin and vinegar to cure athlete’s foot. Many of us have used organic remedies without even realizing it.

4. Better for the environment
It should be fairly obvious that anything made without chemicals will be better for the earth. Harsh soaps in normal products can kill animals and plant life once they are released back into the environment. Organic skin care products break down faster and contain ingredients that are not harmful to the environment. Also, many of these products do not get tested on animals.

5. Many work better than mainstream products
The most well known companies spend millions in marketing each year in an attempt to convince the public that their normal products work better, but this is not the case. A little online research can show you that there are natural versions of many of these products available.

If you are thinking about making the switch to organic, there couldn’t be a better time. More of these products are available than ever before which in turn has helped prices come down. Going organic has never been easier!

Americans tend to love team sports. Football, basketball, hockey, soccer, and, of course, baseball all inspire rapid fan bases and make billions of dollars for players, coaches and teams — to say nothing of broadcasters and advertisers. Individual sports tend to get less attention. One major exception to this the game of tennis.

Why tennis has such an uncharacteristically wide appeal may never be fully understood. It is, however, one of the few sports that is played by individuals that has devoted fans all over the world. It may even be the one sport where national boundaries are blurred, since Americans may just as easily follow star players from Eastern Europe or South America as from their own country. The international popularity of stars like Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, and Kim Clijsters prove that beyond a doubt.

In May, the eyes of the tennis world will be turning towards Paris. Hundreds of the best tennis players in the world as well as their most avid fans will converge for the french open 2011 . Those fans that can’t make the trek to France will be glued to their tv screens, computers, and mobile devices for news, scores, and live match play for the duration of the tournament.
