Having heard about the fantastic service that Next Day Blinds offers, you decided to use their services to purchase and install some new blinds in your home.  So you called Next Day Blinds, they came and did all the measuring and you now have beautiful new blinds gracing your windows.  The Next Day Blinds customer service department is not going to be getting a call this time.  However, you still feel like something is missing from the décor in your room.  Here are some easy steps to enhance your windows and create a more inviting feel to your home.

Don’t be afraid to stay simple, especially if your room already has a lot of decoration in it.  Whether you add some solid color curtains or perhaps an upholstered cornice, a little bit goes a long way toward maintaining a clean, modern look.

Natural light is a good thing.  Partially sheer shades or a light thin curtain are good choices for providing privacy while still allowing natural light in.  Especially in rooms with a lot of windows, it is good to take advantage of the open, airy feeling that natural light creates, rather than cover it up with thick oppressive curtains.

Pay attention to the colors.  If the room you will be decorating is small, it is better to use lighter colors to make it feel more open.  On the other hand, darker colors in a larger room create a warm, inviting feel.  It is also best to stay with more modern colors and prints.  You can also choose fabrics with texture that, in smaller amounts, will add more depth to your room.   Swages and arched valences also offer a nice appeal in an otherwise square room.

Whether you are trying to sell your house or have lived there for a while, when it comes to adding decorations to your windows, the options are limitless.

Boulder, Colorado is a beautiful place. Boulder, Colorado is located in Boulder Valley where the Great Plains and the Rocky Mountains meet. To the west of Boulder are the Flatiron Mountains a symbol of Boulder formed by up tilted slabs of sedimentary stone. These mountains make for an impressive and stunning backdrop for this community.

Gold prospecting began in the area 1885 when what is now Boulder was still part of the Nebraska territory. Boulder’s economy was driven by silver, gold and coal mining until the early 1900′s.

Today Boulder is a destination for many tourists. With a wide variety of activities and event occurring through out the year. Hiking the near by mountains is very popular in the summer. Abundant with wild flowers and dense forests filled wild life. With stunning views adn vistas to amaze even the well hiked hiker. High elevation views to the east offer vistas across Colorado sweeping into the Great Plains in Kansas. These same mountains offer some world class snow for skiing in the winters. Cross country skiing and snow shoeing are also very popular activities for those not wanting to rush down the mountains. Inquire at your Hotels Boulder for information on day activities in the mountains.

Within the city there is much to do as well. Theater and film festivals offer a variety of programs at various times of the year. The Shoot Out 24 Hour Film Festival where participants are challenged to make short films in 24 hours have gained popularity in recent years. And if music is your thing you may want to plan on being here during the philharmonic season or any time of year catch the folk, blue grass and country bands at play in bars and night clubs through out town. Relaxing and stunning are two words I think of when remembering Boulder. We really enjoyed days in the mountains and evenings of star gazing from the hotel balcony.
