The Triolet Shivata forms the longest village on the island. It is also the location of the Maheswarnath Temple, which is the largest Hindu temple on the island. This incredible building was constructed in honor of various gods including Shiva, Vishnu and Krishna. It was built in 1819, so it also represents some of the traditional cultural aspects and landmarks of the island.
