Living in Singapore for over a year and a half a year travelling around Malaysia, I’ve finally made a decision. I’ve made up my mind to ship all my stuff back to Jakarta, my home town in Indonesia. I felt some what sorry for all my possessions because they’ve just been laying around in storage for almost a year. I didn’t know where to go because I’ve always travelled around and I just never could make up my mind on where to stay next. But, before I go, I do plan to stay one night at one of the Five Star Hotels in Singapore. You know treat my self real good.

I spent two whole days packing all the stuff I had with me in Singapore and prepared them to ship back to Indonesia. But, honestly, I didn’t expect that I would have so much stuff! After living in the ‘lah’ land for well over a year, I managed to accumulate…stuff. Pure stuff. Anyway, on my last night here, before my stay at the hotel, I thought I would feel sad, but I don’t. It’s weird, really. I usually know me better, so I’d think I get a bit melancholy and teary-eyed, especially saying goodbye to my friends, but surprisingly, I didn’t drop a single tear. Now, what does that tell me?

Naturally, I will miss my friends in Singapore, but I know that I have many more such friends in Jakarta. Maybe that’s why I’m not sad. I think, as I’ve grown older and blossomed into a mature young adult, just kidding, but, seriously, I do think this is just a phase of life with which I have to go through. Cities come and cities go. I am looking forward to what my new old adventure as in store for me. Goodbye Singapore!
