Before we know it the tennis season will be upon us again. Perhaps grandest of all the Grand Slam tennis tournaments is the French Open.
The French Open takes place each year during May 25th through June 8th. It is held at the Roland Garros stadium in Paris, France. In fact the French call the tournament the ‘Roland Garros.’ The Tennis Channel offers the latest French Open news.
The clay courts of the French Open can prove to be a great leveller for tennis players. Winners of the tournament usually specialize in clay courts. In the 2007 French Open tournament Rafael Nadal from Soain and Justine Henin from Belgium both won for the 3rd time! That was some achievement!
