COMMERCE Retail sales posted a stronger-than-expected gain and prices at the wholesale level jumped up significantly in September. The Commerce Department reported Friday that retail sales increased 0.6 percent last month, compared with August, as a big increase in auto sales helped offset weak demand for clothing. Pulaski chamber director leaves post
Dawn Adams, a Jacksonville, Fla., transplant who took the reins of the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce in September 2006, has left her position as executive director. Chamber President Spencer Rygas confirmed Friday that Adams is no longer with the chamber and said her last day was Oct. 3.
