Hispanic chamber backs HISD bond proposal
The Houston school district’s $805 million bond proposal gained the support of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce today. Leaders of the 30-year-old business organization announced this morning that they are endorsing the bond issue, which would be used to build 24 campuses and renovate 136 others if voters approve it on Nov. 6.
